Transom Restoration
Sean, my transom is rotted. Can you help me?!
Absolutly, give me a week and I'll have you back in the water.

The first step was to remove all the rotted wood. The inside

and outside skin had to be removed as well.

Next we fabricated fiberglass sheets for interior and exterior

walls. We then poured (yes poured) our new transom. We've

been using a product called Sea Cast for about 10 years now.

After curing we shoot new gel coat, wet sand, and polish. The motor

bracket is then remounted.

The mechanic re-rigs the boat with their motors, trim tabs and other

necessary hardware.
